PAR North America has teamed up with vehicle transport provider CarsArrive to expand transportation services options for recovery agents while also offering them more revenue opportunities. The partnership allows recovery agents in PAR's Preferred Agent Network to scan available transport load assignments in real time through CarsArrive. Instant notifications are also available to users via fax, e-mail or by downloading them online. Additionally, it allows for recovery agents to bid on transport requests for cars in their market. Officials said this includes vehicles at their lots. Both companies, of course, are subsidiaries of KAR Auction Services. CarsArrive was brought into the KAR family through ADESA's acquisition of OPENLANE last year. Officials noted that the carrier network of CarsArrive includes more than 4,500 companies and 30,000 trucks throughout North America. We are excited to provide our recovery agents with the opportunity to really utilize the CarsArrive transportation network, stated PAR president Jerry Kroshus. We're confident they will benefit greatly from this partnership not only through noticeable increases in operational efficiency, but additional revenue opportunities as well.
